Dog Owners Be Aware of Increased Risk of Lyme Disease

Field & Stream’s “Veterinarians Issue High Tick-Borne Disease Warning for 2022” (Ken Perrotte 3.3.22) reports the prevalence of Lyme disease is expected to be higher in 2022, warning dog owners of the increased risk cited by Veterinary Practice News. Additional information from the Companion Animal Parasite Council (CAPC) indicating that the South and West expansion of Lyme will see impending outbreaks of the disease in parts of Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan and Ohio and increased risk in Carolinas and that  high risks will persist in Northeast, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is included in Field & Stream.
