It is very important that the correct information on tick-borne diseases is made available to patients, the public, officials, and even physicians. Often, the controversy surrounding Lyme prevents the full spectrum of information from getting to patients, who may need it to make important decisions which affect their health and to policy makers who can positively affect how Lyme is diagnosed and treated. The LDA is in the forefront nationally in providing up to date information on all aspects of the disease through speeches, testimonies and formal positions adopted by the LDA.
