About Donations

The LDA is an all-volunteer national non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that has raised millions of  dollars for Lyme disease research, prevention, education and patient support. The LDA has funded research projects from coast to coast and has had 53 of its funded projects published in peer-reviewed literature and has provided 20 continuing medical conferences on tick-borne diseases for physicians and scientists and hundreds of public and schools educational events. LDA’s LymeAid 4 Kids has awarded ~$400,000 toward children getting diagnosed and treated. LDA offers Lyme and tick-borne diseases brochures orderable online for cost of mailings of downloadable for free. LDA now offers a downloadable LymeR Primer brochure in Spanish for free. You can donate to LDA via online, by sending in a check/money order or through the Combined Federal Campaign (if federal employee). All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Federal Employee Workplace Donation

CFC Logo LDAThe LDA has been designated as a national charity included in the 2020 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) Charity List. CFC is part of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Each year, federal employees are provided with lists of approved charities for their workplace giving through the CFC. The LDA has met the requirements and been a part of CFC for 15 years running. LDA’s administrative and fundraising costs were determined to be only 2.7% for 2019, meaning 97.3% went directly to programs.

The LDA’s CFC 2019 identification for donors is #11424, and the Lyme Disease Association, Inc. will appear in the listing of National/International Independent Organizations, which is published in each local campaign charity list.
