Lyme Patients to Stage Silent Vigil

Lyme patients nationwide are staging a silent vigil Wednesday, September 17, at the New York Times Building in New York City. The silent protest will be used to bring attention to the fact that the media tends to underreport the spread of Lyme disease, particularly since the CDC announcement in 2013 indicates that 300,000 people in the US are newly diagnosed with Lyme each year. Patients want more attention and more research devoted to the disease.
