Wild Earth is pleased to announce that it will be hosting “Light on Lyme,” a family event, on May 4th from 11am-5pm at the Rosendale Recreation Center.  All proceeds will be shared evenly to benefit LDA’s LymeAid 4 Kids Grant and Wild Earth’s Financial Aid Fund.

Light on Lyme is a family event designed to raise awareness and empower the Hudson Valley in understanding Lyme and other tick-born diseases. The event will focus on issues of diagnosis and treatment, ecology and prevention, government and public health, and nutrition and holistic health. Regional and national experts will be present and speaking, and holistic treatments will be demonstrated. Lots of great information will be available.

This is a family event that will include nature as well as arts and crafts activities for children, a healing kitchen with food demonstrations and recipes, local food vendors, workshops, music, fun and much more. Proceeds from the event will support Wild Earth and a Lyme disease related organization to be named.

David Brownstein, Executive Director of Wild Earth, states, “Wild Earth is excited to be hosting “Light on Lyme” at the epicenter of Lyme and other tick-born diseases. We see so many people affected by these illnesses and feel a responsibility to bring expertise and available information in an organized way to our Hudson Valley community. Our goal is to raise awareness and empowerment”
