LDA Featured on Public Television

LDA President Pat Smith appeared on WFME Community Impact, a public affairs program featured on WFME-FM that addresses community issues within the WFME listening area. This Lyme disease program, hosted by Jay Trelease, was broadcast on Saturday July 27 on public television throughout the WFME viewing area which includes Central and Northern NJ, New York City and Southern New York State, and Northeastern and Southeastern Pennsylvania.

During the half hour show, Mr. Trelease asked questions about Lyme disease. Ms. Smith discussed the spread, types of ticks and diseases, and prevention and tick removal in the first portion, and the effect on patients including pregnant women and treating doctors, testing, insurance, and the Lyme controversy in the second half.
