The Gear Up For Lyme Mt. Equinox Uphill Bike Climb is a challenging 5.4 mile bike race up the scenic Mt. Equinox Skyline Drive finishing at the top of Mt. Equinox in beautiful Manchester, VT. All funds raised from this event help fund research for a Lyme disease cure as well as support the local charities of the Rotary Club of Manchester..
The LDA President will address the participants. (click here to view speech)
Scheduled two weeks after the Mt. Ascutney Bike Climb and two weeks before the Mt. Washington Hill Climb, this race can provide both a unique training opportunity for those preparing to race Mt Washington or a very challenging single day event.
While there is just one hill in this event…the average overall grade is 12% and equivalent to that of Mt. Washington and Mt. Ascutney. Check with your local bike shop or follow this link for a discussion on appropriate gearing ratios and other information relevant to uphill bike climb races.
