Peconic Bay Fishing Tournament Benefit Reels in Monies for Lyme Research

On June 12, 2010, the first annual Peconic Bay Fishing Tournament was held in New York as a benefit to raise monies and awareness for the Lyme Disease Association research programs. Event host Mike Cirrito was able to pull in many sponsors and over 200 fisherman registered to try for the $1,000 first prize or one of the TVs. Stripers, blue fish and fluke were weighed in by volunteers and a barbecue followed the all day event.
