BIO

Paul Trouillas (MD, PhD) was appointed full Professor of Neurology at Claude Bernard University in 1978 and  chief of service in 1984. He was  chairman of the Lyon Neurology college (1995-2001) and emeritus Professor (2010-2015). He published 226 scientific publications (see semantic scholar).  He founded the Lyon Stroke unit in 1990 and introduced thrombolysis for stroke in France. In 2004, he founded a humanitary league for specialized medical care in Africa, which he chaired until 2018. 

From 2010, Paul Trouillas was particularly interested in the severe forms of late neuroborreliosis and more generally  in the severe forms of late tick-borne neurological disease.
