This section on Federal Legislation contains Lyme disease bill actions in Congress.

The Lyme Disease Association (LDA) has been working to try to stop the spread of Lyme disease and find a cure for chronic Lyme disease for almost two decades. LDA has worked on educating federal departments and agencies, meeting with Health & Human Services, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, the National Institutes of Health as well as with the military.
Additionally, LDA has worked with members of Congress over that time period and has been successful in helping to achieve Labor HHS appropriations language and funding and Department of Defense funding for Lyme and tick-borne diseases. LDA has also been an impetus for bills introduced into Congress on Lyme and tick-borne diseases which had their genesis in 1997. The LDA has also testified on Lyme disease before the US House of Representatives Foreign Relations Health & Human Rights Subcommittee and the US House of Representatives Energy & Commerce Health Subcommittee, 2012 and 2013 respectively.
