The LDA has an ongoing commitment to helping its associated groups with Lyme programs. Here is a picture resulting from the first award given by the LDA to Lyme Association of Greater Kansas City, an LDA affiliate in 2003. The grant was for their “Tick-Borne Disease Awareness by Education” project providing information packets to school nurses in Kansas and Missouri. LDA has continued to fund the project.
