Working with S.L.A.M., Sturbridge Lyme Awareness of Massachusetts, the Lyme Disease Association (LDA) provided a grant to S.L.A.M to have the printing done for a MA billboard.  According to S.L.A.M. Founder Trish McCleary, who was responsible for getting its donation through LAMAR advertising,"This is the second year for a billboard for S.L.A.M.   The billboard is located Rt. 20A opposite Rt. 291 Southbound in Springfield MA."  S.L.A.M. is also spearheading 'Ribbons Across America' for the month of May which is an awareness campaign started by S.L.A.M. in 2009.  'Ribbons' includes lime green ribbons on area Town Commons, homes and businesses and serves to raise awareness of the tick-borne diseases and remember those who have lost their battle with TBD's.
 
This Massachusetts billboard joins the LDA's own Spring awareness campaign which includes the digital CBS billboard in Times Square, NY, running throughout May, June and a portion of July; several radio interviews; a TV spot; and other media interviews.
